Mr Anthony Wong Chau Sang

Also known as Anthony Perry, actor Anthony Wong Chau Sang joined RTV’s acting course in 1982 and went on to appear in 25 TV dramas in two years. He had a role in the film My Name Ain’t Suzie (1985), before furthering his studies in acting at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. During this time, he also won several Best Actor awards in drama competitions. After graduating, Wong joined TVB, where he acted in some 30 drama series. He resumed big screen acting in 1990, and has since appeared in more than 200 titles including Ann Hui’s Ordinary Heroes (1999). A respected thespian, he was named Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards for The Untold Story (1993) and Beast Cops (1998), and Best Supporting Actor for Infernal Affairs (2002) and Initial D (2005) at the Hong Kong Film Awards and Taiwan’s Golden Horse Awards. Wong also won the Golden Bauhinia Award and Best Actor at the HKSAR 10th Anniversary Film Awards for Ordinary Heroes (1999). He directed two films in the 1990s: New Tenant (1995) and Top Banana Club (1996). His recent works include Ip Man: The Final Fight (2013), 12 Golden Ducks (2015) and Still Human (2018).
